The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you  finally  made  the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq  to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean  more quality to the paintings, am i right?. 
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only  to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

What I'm looking for:
Everything! Wolves, foxes, fennec foxes, ferrets, servals, bobcats, tigers, other big cats, small cats, deers, dragons, gryphons, dogs, birds, hybrids, original species.. bring it!
I'm leaving the details to your imagination, but here are some things I really like:
-White base color with black and red markings<33 (mostly on canines)
-Cute and fluffy things! No need to go all big eyes and oversized heads, but animals with fur. Creepy and slimy things just aren't my thing.. Still don't be afraid to make something dark/evil
-Anything tribal
-Native american stuff
-Feathers!
-Tawny, golden, brown, white, red, blue, cyan, gray, black (well, not all combined)
-I like more natural base colors, but with smaller markings in unnatural colors like blue or red
-Long tails, big/long

1 Entry Per Member
Must be a member of the group. If you are not and would like to join the contest, feel free to join the group. We would be more then happy to have you and it's auto approve.
Must have been submitted in the year of 2013.
Can not have a DD awarded before today's date of 1/5/13.
Photo's and Photo-Manipulations are the only things allowed in this contest.
Can be of anything that you want as long as light is an obvious play in the photo/photo-manipulation.
You do not have to but if you would like, please post the contest name and group in the artist comments area. (This is so we can get more exposure for the contest.)
Photo/Photo-Manipulation must be yours.

Send me a link and I'll try and find it, otherwise you can go to the deviation itself and remove it from the group by looking at the groups to the right hand side that it's in, you should see ours if it's in the group and then press the little pencil thing and there should be a option to remove it from the group. Let me know how that works and send me the link if it does not so that I can try and find it and copy it to the contest.

Sorry, I was hoping you would see the message sooner. I had to close it down and get on with it so that we could get the winners announced asap or at least the polls out. I did wait for about 4 or so hours after that to put the polls out but since the end of the contest date was yesterday and people where antsy to see the results we had to get them out.
We will be holding more contests and normally all contest that we hold give the members at least a month to put their entry in. Hope you get to enter the next one.

Yes it can be anything that you want as long as light is obvious. Light painting, light bulb, sunset, sunrise.. really anything that you can think of.
